Rx Bandits in Philly

I was blessed with the opportunity to see Rx Bandits in late July. A series of events including moving, computer issues, starting school, and crazy job issues, lead to my sitting on this piece for nearly two months. For that I apologize, but for these great pics of great bands, I do not!

My evening began with dinner with a friend at Voltage Lounge. Little did we know we’d find ourselves a new band that we really dig in Lancaster’s Stonewall Vessels

Then, we got to the show early to hang out with Northern Faces, where we discussed their EP, their influences, what being on tour with Say Anything and Rx Bandits back to back is like, veganism, cheesesteaks, and 90s Christian rock.

About 10 minutes before showtime, we split so they could gear up. Then, we enjoyed the crap out of their set.

After a great set from one of my new favorite bands, one of my old favorite bands got ready to take the stage. While they didn’t play any of my old favorites from their early releases, they rocked Resignation in its entirety and a few other crowd favorites.

In short, this picture of my son pretty much sums up how I felt about the kickass evening with three great bands, a few beers, and a great friend.
