At night, the TLA will be hosting their on-going event, Philly Music Matters. This showcase provides local artists with a chance to show off to a hometown crowd and hopefully grow their fan base. Don’t miss out on the chance to support the local music scene, and catch some up and coming bands.

Looking for a simple twist on traditional American food and an easy-going meal? Village Whiskey in Rittenhouse Square is the answer. Their menu includes burgers with delicious toppings like their homemade thousand island dressing, as well as some souped up entrees like lobster mac & cheese. And like their name implies, you can rest assured that Village Whiskey will satisfy all your drinking needs with a variety of craft beers and whiskey creations.

As some of you may have figured out by now, I have a soft spot for jam music. This evening, Galactic, a six-piece jazz/funk group from New Orleans will be performing at the Electric Factory. Along with the traditional guitar, bass, and drums formation, Galactic has also added a saxophone and a trombone to the mix. For a rocking night that will cause spontaneous dancing, be sure you attend this excellent show.

Today you have a few options. In their Works on Paper building, Fleisher, an art promoting organization, is providing printmaking classes that will improve you personal Valentine’s Day card this year. If you really want to impress your significant other, you will not want to miss this. If Valentine’s Day isn’t your forte, then you have the chance to skip out. This weekend kicks off the Philadelphia Auto Show, always a treat, and, Sunday only, Arcadia Boutiques is hosting a trunk sale. For some new insight into the auto industry or a cheap day shopping for some unique jewelry, try out these alternatives.

In the evening a short drive to Northern Liberties will yield some well-crafted Mexican cuisine, created by El Camino Real. Their authentic menu is full of appetizing dishes like carnitas and fish tacos. All in all, El Camino is a great option to end your eventful weekend.
