Drew Nugent is a busy, busy man! As founder and director of Philly’s own hot jazz band, Drew Nugent & The Midnight Society, he plays over five instruments and travels all over the city, bringing the 1920’s Jazz Age to Philadelphia once again. Rock On Philly had the opportunity to sit down with Nugent to discuss all of his musical pursuits in the city, playing piano on Sundays at Moshulu, and so much more. I love everything about the 1920’s Jazz Age, I’m glad people like Drew Nugent are keeping it alive for new generations.
