The scene was so familiar outside the famous Electric Factory on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. There was the line that formed by starting at the multi-door entrance and extending in front of the railing leading up to the box office/will call and, eventually, going as far back as the fence that separates the entrance/parking lot from the busy street that leads up to the venue. Security guards lingered in front or went in and out of the venue, looking habitually intimidating. The marquee above the entrance featured the acts for that night: 90’s grunge band Failure, alt-rockers HUM, and Philly natives Nothing. It was the start of a pretty rad evening.

I think my favorite moment at the Electric Factory has not happen yet…because I think my favorite moment will be when I see The Neighbourhood play there in October! They are one of my favorite bands ever and besides playing at Made in America last year, they haven’t really had their own set in Philly, so it’s pretty exciting!

side note- I love that the Electric Factory was designed and created for the fans (and I didn’t know the location was an old General Electric Factory, makes sense though).
