Local rock band Soraia are extremely proud of their latest EP, Less Than Zero, and are ready to celebrate. “It was a great experience–absolutely the best we’ve had writing and recording this EP,” says lead singer ZouZou Mansour. On Friday, October 2nd, the band will host an album release party at Milkboy Philadelphia, along with opening guests The Droogettes and The Good Excuses. In addition to celebrating the album release, Soraia will be doing a video shoot that night as well, which means if you attend you have a chance to be in it!
The party isn’t just about Less Than Zero though; it’s about appreciating the energetic, strong rock ‘n’ roll scene happening in the Philly area. Expect to see a high-energy level set from each of the three bands. “The absolute best part of performing live is the ability to 100% let yourself go and be in the moment,” explains Mansour. “The audience getting into it makes it for all of us. That interaction is magic when it happens. Those are the shows that keep you going. When people are unafraid to let themselves go, it’s so inspiring to exchange that together. I expect that for this Friday’s release show, and we’ll have horns which we don’t usually bring live—it’ll be fun!”
Milkboy Philadelphia is located at 1100 Chestnut Street. Doors open at 8:30 pm and tickets are only $12! You can purchase them in advance here. This show is 21+ only.
