This week is full of excitement as huge names hit the town. There’s a variety of different genres for you to pick from, so there should be something for everyone this weekend! Hot days are in the forecast, so make sure to stay hydrated!

Thursday 7/14:

Guns N’ Roses at Lincoln Financial Field. Axl Rose has been keeping busy at being the sub-in lead vocal for AC/DC while Brian Johnson recovers. It’s finally Philly’s turn to see Guns N’ Roses come to life. For 3 decades, these rockers have been helping us rock out. Get tickets here and don’t miss out on a piece of rock history.

If you’re more into hip hop, go to rapper Rakim’s show at Union Transfer. He’s one of the most influential figures in hip hop and you won’t learn more about rap from anyone else. So many rappers name him as a big influence in their style and career that he’s their godfather of rap. Tickets here.

Hey Mercedes chatted with us for an interview before their show at the Foundry. The early 2000’s alternative band is back together for a 15th anniversary of their first album. They will be performing at the Wrecking Ball Festival in Atlanta in August. Tickets here.

Super-confident Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are teaming up for their 2016 Honda Civic Tour, stopping by Camden at BB&T Pavilion. Demi Lovato’s powerful performance of “Stone Cold” from the Billboard Women in Music in December brought the house down with her vivacious pipes. Nick Jonas and his latest album Last Year Was Complicated is catching fire. Tickets are still available here.

Friday 7/15:

LA’s She Wants Revenge is at the TLA on Friday night for the Debut Album 10 Year Anniversary Tour. The duo’s allure is all in their darkness and intense live shows. Celebrate their decade of work with them on Friday night. Tickets are available here.

Journey and Doobie Brothers are going to be putting on an incredible show at BB&T Pavilion. Journey has gone through decades of change in lineup and formation but their classics are still one of the most played at sporting events and parties. Tickets are still available here.

Saturday 7/16:

Brand New and Modest Mouse sold out at the Mann Center in record time. Having two big bands play in one night in one place is such a treat. Modest Mouse showed us a good time at Firefly 2015 and their album released in the same year is alive with sound. Brand New’s chillness is something you can look forward to enjoying. You can try looking for resale tickets here.

If you don’t know Tye Tribbett, you’re missing out. The gospel singer will bring you chills at his performance at The Fillmore. He’s from across the river in Camden, and this will be his hometown show. His voice is godly and his lyrics inspiring. Get tickets here.

Sunday 7/17:

34th Annual Turks Head Music Festival will be held in West Chester at Everhart Park. Music performance by TreeWalker will be the highlight for the all day free event. This is a family friendly event, so bring your kids! Check out the many colorful vendors and crafts spread out through the park!
