Best Weekend Ever: Happy New Year!

It’s 2017! As we get back into the swing of things, you can ease your way into concert-going again with these shows. Bundle up and keep the good times going!

Thursday 1/5:

Get funky with Lettuce at TLA on Thursday night. The funk band from Boston will be putting on an energetic show that’ll warm up your cold winter night. Their recent performances at the Brooklyn Bowl kicked off their tour and conveniently, they were streaming live for fans at home. Tickets can be purchased here.

 

Local guys of Ju-taun are back at Milkboy to charm us with their dynamic voices. Their style incorporates a ton of soul into R&B and they are extremely fun to watch. Tickets are available here.

 

Friday 1/6:

If you’re in the mood for some #FBF tunes, there will be a tribute show for Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, and Limp Bizkit at TLA featuring Philly band lovekilledkurt, The Wretched, and Counterfeit, respectively. Tickets can be purchased here or at the door.

 

Nicky P is throwing a fundraiser at Underground Arts with a stellar lineup, including Former Belle and Archawah. The funds will go towards Nicky P’s dad’s medical bills. Come support a local artist and their family and also get in touch with awesome local artists! It’s a win-win for all parties involved! Get tickets here.

 

Saturday 1/7:

Hair O The Dog is Philly’s favorite annual winter party and its coming back to The Fillmore, this time featuring Lil Jon, Dillon Francis, VASSY, and Philly’s ROZES. Just because New Year’s Eve is in the past doesn’t mean you have to quit your party ways. Put on your swankiest attire and get your tickets for the extravagant night here.

 

Philadelphia’s artists Steve Torchio and Steve Shorts are exhibiting their works throughout January at PhilaMOCA. Their visual artwork will be accompanied by musicians Taupe and Vessna Scheff, who are performing on opening night. Get feed your need for art and music all in one spot.
