If you still haven’t seen a show in this new year, this weekend is your chance to catch some great acts coming to Philly.
Kings of Leon are returning to Philadelphia tonight for a great time at the Wells Fargo Center. Walls was released this past fall and its energy gets you moving every listen. Supported by Deerhunter, this tour is one to catch this winter. Tickets are still available here and at the box office.
Rapper D.R.A.M. is coming to Philly for a sold out night at The Foundry. Bring your vegan friends and get you some “Broccoli.” His debut album Big Baby D.R.A.M. came out in December with some cool tunes and the cutest album cover. You can still try to get resale tickets here.
The D’Addario brothers that make up The Lemon Twigs will be at Underground Arts. They incorporate many styles such as alt and psychedelic rock and they’re visually intriguing to watch as well. Tickets are available for purchase here.
British folk rocker Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls are performing at The Fillmore on Friday night. Their set will be preceded by performances by Murder By Death, Arkells, and Will Varley. Tickets are still available here.
Brotherly Love Benefit Concert for Jeff Bradshaw features Philadelphia’s very own super star Jill Scott and many others. The soulful singer has so much class and talent and makes our city proud. The event is sold out, so lucky ticket holders, enjoy!
A super special acoustic performance by Sonic Youth‘s vocalist and guitarist Lee Ranaldo with Steve Gunn is predictably sold out at PhilaMOCA. The intimate performance will make all of your friends jealous as it is one of the very few performances for Lee Ranaldo to come to Philadelphia. There are no tickets available anywhere in the market.
Sevyn Streeter, formerly of RichGirl and TG4, is bringing her big voice to The Foundry for her solo tour. Since she’s been writing, she’s contributed her talent to big name artists like Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, and Usher. Don’t miss a chance to see her live. Tickets are available here.
Keep dancing the until the end of the weekend with Plaid & The Bee at Underground Arts. The electronic-duo are coming from England with force and their dance synth is different than a lot of artists in the states. Tickets can be purchased here.
