If you want heavy hitters, this is the weekend. Many of the awesome shows this weekend are sold out, so get crafty and look for resale tickets from friends or credible websites!

Thursday 4/6:

Diet Cig is a pop-punk duo from New York City, and they will be performing at Boot & Saddle on Thursday night. The rebellious nature and the hint of 90’s vibe make their music infectious. Vocalist Alex Luciano’s singing style is perfect for the energy of the band. Get tickets here or at the door.

Never Shout Never is coming back to Philly on their Throwback Tour. The band, that is now a decade old, sold out the Foundry. Lead singer Christofer Drew Ingle started on the scene with a lot of success at a young age and he is still only 26, leaving many more years of music making to come.  Try looking for resale tickets here.

Friday 4/7:

John Mayer came to us last time as Dead and Company, and he’s coming as a solo act to the Wells Fargo Center. He has mastered not only the art of guitar, but the art of Snapchat. Come listen to his music as a form of therapy. The show is officially sold out through the venue. Get your tickets here.

Friday night will be rocking with Xiu Xiu, with support by Grandchildren from Philadelphia at Boot & Saddle. They will be performing songs off of their latest album, Forget, which was released in February. The show is sold out. Enjoy the show, ticket holders!

Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness is back at the Fillmore for another sold out show, this time for Zombies on Broadway tour. His latest album of the same name includes hits like “Fire Escape” and “So Close.” He’s also known to play fan favorites from Jack’s Mannequin and Something Corporate at his shows, so true fans really get a bang for their buck. While downstairs is going to be living for Andrew McMahon, Maggie Rogers is also performing a sold out set upstairs at the Foundry. She performed this year at SXSW and her song “Alaska” blew up in 2016. The 22-year old singer-songwriter from Maryland released her EP Now That the Light Is Fading in February and has seen much success from it. Find resale tickets here.
