This weekend looks perfectly sunny and the temperature is going up again to make the outdoor shows and parties that much better! Check out our selection of shows with many options so you don’t have to look much further for an exciting weekend!

Thursday 6/8:

Bluesy rock singer-songwriter Garland Jeffreys graces Philly with his performance at World Cafe Live. In April, he released his 15th solo album 14 Steps To Harlem and at 73 years old still manages to put out good music. His cover of his friend Lou Reed’s “I’m Waiting for My Man” is delightful. Tickets can be purchased here.

Canadian folk group Timber Timbre is sold out at Boot & Saddle. They released Sincerely, Future Pollution on April 7th with City Slang Records and it carries the hauntingly beautiful theme throughout the album. There are no resale tickets anywhere for this show. Enjoy, ticket holders!

Friday 6/9:

It’s local night at Johnny Brenda’s in Fishtown. Maitland, Former Belle, and Dirty Dollhouse are performing to their most dedicated fans. Grab one of the many local drafts available at the bar,  hang back, and enjoy the show. Tickets can be purchased here or at the door.

Boston’s hard/punk band The Explosion is sold out at Boot & Saddle. They rocked Philly at This Is Hardcore Festival in 2014 and they’re back to amaze the intimate crowd of fans. After a few hiatuses, they are reunited and ready for action. If you don’t have tickets to the show, you’ll have to wait until the next time they announce a show.

If you want to stay in Fishtown area and keep the party going outside, go see Slightly Stoopid at Festival Pier. The outdoor venue is open again for business and is the perfect place to watch the sunset as bands play into the night. Slightly Stoopid comes back to Philly pretty regularly in the summer and it will just as good this time around. Tickets are still available here.

Saturday 6/10:

Start your day our early with the Fishtown Festivale, which is being held from noon to 10pm. Craft beer lovers can head over to Frankford Avenue between Girard and Master to try local brews while DJs spin music all day. Food vendors will line the street and the weather is set to be perfect. The menu at Johnny Brenda’s looks like it’s going to be amazing. Head over to Fishtown always for a good time!

Bryan Adams is coming back to Philly, this time at the Mann Center. Adams and the GET UP TOUR will feature his hits like “Summer of ’69” along with new songs off his thirteenth studio album. Tickets are available here.

LA’s Dawes comes to The Fillmore on Saturday night. Their latest album We’re All Gonna Die charted number 1 on US Folk Charts. They also released a live version of the album this past February. Tickets are available for purchase here or at the box office.

Philly-via-LA duo Girlpool is performing at Union Transfer. The folk punk bank with two powerful ladies up front has a huge following in Philadelphia ever since they moved east. Tickets are available ahead of time here, or at the door. Get them before they sell out!

Sunday 6/11:

Crack a cold one with the boys at Radio 104.5 Block Party part 2 with headliner The Killers. Other super bands include Foster The People, Bleachers, Kaleo, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Local duo Marian Hill who are hot on the scene are also on the setlist. Very few tickets are left, so check here ASAP. Doors open at 1pm, so get there early and listen to great music all day!
