Best Weekend Ever: Wilco, Diana Ross, Queen

July is already coming to a close, and the summer will rush past you if you don’t make the most of the shows coming by. It’ll be a rainy weekend, but that won’t keep the artists away and not for true fans neither. Grab a stylish poncho and head out with confidence!

Thursday 7/27:

This is Hardcore Fest is back at Union Transfer for night one, and single day tickets are sold out as usual. This year’s lineup includes Ramallah, Madball, Terror, Death Threat, and more. If you want to get in on this festival taking place at Union Transfer and Electric Factory, you can still buy 4 day passes here.

 

Friday 7/28:

Wilco from Chicago headlines for the XPoNential Festival day one in Camden at BB&T Pavilion. Other performers for this day includes Angel Olsen, Conor Oberst, and more. Tickets are available here. Be prepared for rain for this outdoor event. Make sure you check where each performer is playing, because there will be multiple stages setup.

 

Saturday 7/29:

Rise early for the second day of XPoNential Festival. Saturday is headlined by Amos Lee. Other performers include Foxygen at the River Stage, Spoon preceding Amos Lee’s set at BB&T’s main stage, and so much more. Tickets are still up for purchase here.

 

On our side of the river, Primus is performing at Festival Pier with special guest Clutch. Primus has character that is hard to find elsewhere and it’s part of why their shows are so fun. Their 2014 release Primus & the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble is completely entertaining and unique. Get tickets here for the outdoor show.

 

Queen of soul aka Diana Ross is performing at The Mann Center. If you want to try your hand at winning tickets, the ticket giveaway through Rock On Philly ends Friday 5pm EST. Tickets for purchase are available here. This is your chance to see a legend perform, so don’t miss out!

 

 

 

Sunday 7/30:

Adam Lambert with Queen at Wells Fargo Center. Adam Lambert has been doing this gig since 2011 and has had his fan base grow to include Queen fans. The remaining members of Queen are matched perfectly with Lambert in their strive for perfection. Tickets can be purchased here.

 

Since All Time Low‘s Saturday night show is sold out, they’ve added a second night for all the fans that couldn’t get tickets for Saturday, or for die-hard fans who want to go twice. Last Young Renegades was released last month and made it into Billboard 200’s top ten that week. Tickets are available here. Get them while you can!

 

Keep it local with Power Animal at Johnny Brenda’s on Sunday night. The experimental band started by Keith Hampson with two drum sets and three SP-404 samplers create pop sounds with obscure appeal. Tickets are available here or at the door.
