Rock On Philly’s Made In America Playlist 2013!

The temperature is dropping, the nights are growing colder, and the air has a certain chill. This can only mean one thing; summer is coming to an end. It’s time to pull out those cardigans, V-neck sweaters, and infinity scarves. Although fall is right around the corner, the Philadelphian summer isn’t going to simply fade away. No, the city of brotherly love is ending its summer with a bang. The end of August is coming fast, but its bringing Budweiser’s Made In America festival with it!

Even though we have to say “Goodbye” to long days on the beach, we get to say “Hello!” to great performances by some amazing artists. So you don’t have tickets to Made In America…you can still rock to the last days of summer with your favorite drink in hand in your back yard.

Here’s a list of my favorite MIA 2013 artists and their best tunes for the summer!

The end of summer will be bittersweet, but Macklemore and Ryan Lewis can help ease the pain. “Can’t Hold Us” is definitely a song that makes me want to dance every time I hear it.

“Candles in the Sun” has such a great message and earned Miguel a nomination at this year’s VMAs. This was such a calm song to listen to laying on the beach.

Nero always produces songs that make you want to move your body. They haven’t dropped anything new, besides “Into the Past”, since last year…but I’ve had “My Eyes” on repeat all summer.

Sometimes you need that song that’ll push you through a workout and give you some motivation. “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons was my song for sure.

“Next to Me” by Emeli Sandé is such an upbeat song I had to add it. The song just feels like summer.

Aluna George has such a unique sound and played “You Know You Like It” all summer. You’ve got to love those UK artists.

Calvin Harris was a large part of my summer playlist, but “I Need Your Love” remains my favorite.

Phoenix “Entertainment” is a great summer beach song. It’s just so uplifting and fun; it feels like a song you’d road trip to.

I’ve always been a big fan of artists from the UK and Rudimental has become one of my favorites. “Feel the Love” is a great song…so happy they’ll be at MIA.

Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete without the Queen, Beyoncé. I had to choose “I Care”, it’s such a beautiful song.

This compilation is sure to help you say goodbye to summer, whether you’re getting ready for Made In America or rocking out at home!
