Umphrey’s McGee and STS9 Prepare to Rock the Mann Center on August 30th

Umphrey’s McGee, a powerful progressive rock jam band, was born in 1997 to the college town of South Bend, Indiana. These Notre Dame alumni began playing around the Chicago area, gaining popularity quickly. Influenced by bands such as Genesis and Yes, Umphrey’s brings a heavy rock feel to the world of jam music. Following the traditions of jam bands like The Grateful Dead and Phish, they pride themselves on recordings of live shows where the band is free to challenge themselves and bring each song to a place where it has never gone before. On August 30th Umphrey’s McGee will be joined by electronic jam band Sound Tribe Sector 9 (or STS9 for short) for a one-night extravaganza at the Mann Center. You do not want to miss this one of a kind concert with such a well-known duo. For tickets and information, visit the Mann Center’s website.
