Spend New Year’s Eve at Milkboy Philly

It’s just before Thanksgiving, which is the perfect time to start making end-of-year plans. Conveniently for early planners, New Year’s Eve at Milkboy Philly will be featuring a great selection of local live music at a great price, making it one of the most accessible New Year’s Eve parties in the city.

This December 31, music fans can join The Lawsuits, TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb, and the Commonwealth Choir at Milkboy Philly (1100 Chestnut Street). For only $15, attendees get general admission to the show starting at 9PM and a whiskey ginger toast at midnight.

Just in case there are any questions about what a great deal this show will be, interested folks can check out the latest albums from The Lawsuits (Cool, Cool, Cool, released in October 2013) and from TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb (Manufacturing Joy, released September 2012), as well as the self-produced EP debut from the Commonwealth Choir titled Shirtless, released in late September 2013.

As the albums show, this lineup presents a diverse cross-section of Philadelphia music. Whether it’s the whiskey-soaked boot-stomping folk rock sounds of gravelly-voiced TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb, the multiple genres that influence the Lawsuits’s wild brand of modern Americana, or the classic and catchy indie-rock sounds of the Commonwealth Choir, music fans will have plenty to enjoy on New Year’s Eve at Milkboy Philly.

Tickets for this New Year’s Eve party are now on sale through Ticketfly. The Milkboy Philly kitchen and bar will be open all day, free of cover, on 12/31. Doors for the show open at 8:30PM, with music starting at 9PM. Sorry, young music fans–this show is 21+ only.
