BSMG Rock Show at Milkboy this Wednesday 3/12!

This Wednesday night, Broad Street Music Group will be holding another awesome show at Milkboy with local acts Hadley Stacks, Siamese Sundown, The Makeshift Uprising, Scuzbot, and The Sixties. It will be a night of punk and indie rock. Get a glimpse at what’s to come below.

Hadley Stacks’ performance of soothing tunes with a great voice and honest broke-down lyrics should be a great start to the evening. Whether she’s going acoustic or full band, it will be a pleasure to listen to this up-and-coming Philly voice. Give her a listen on Myspace, including a cover of Death Cab for Cutie‘s “I Will Follow You Into The Dark”.

Siamese Sundown is five piece rock band that drives straight to the point with a tone that is slightly grungy. Belting vocals and aggressive guitar lines fill the three cuts they have online, and they sound like a band that should really blossom at a live performance. For now, stream some tracks on Myspace.

Scuzbot is an upbeat, pop punk band from Bensalem whose full-length album is composed of catchy hooks and quick guitar riffs. With two vocalists, the band has songs that are a little rough around the edges, and some that sound more polished. Either way they lean, Scuzbot stays true to the pop punk ideal of writing sing-a-long-prone and fun songs. Stream their album here, and watch a video for “Washed Up” below.

The Sixties is a punk band from Lansdale that mixes passionate vocals with really cool guitar work, resulting in a sound that is reminiscent of Queens of the Stone Age. Their three-song EP On The Road boasts this sound well with layered vocals, active instrumentation, and even a face-melting solo on the title track. The Sixties are sure to put on a good show live. Stream their EP here.

Get tickets to the 21+ event here, they are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Milkboy is easily accessible by the Subway or Regional Rail lines, via City Hall or Market East Station. Find more information on the Facebook event page.
