Rock on Philly‘s post-poned Anti-Valentine’s Day show is now on April 16th at Milkboy, and will be an early celebration of the multi-talented celeb James Franco‘s birthday. Despite the recent mix up that Franco recently got himself into, being accused of trying to meet up with a teenage girl through Instagram, we’ll be celebrating all of his work including the most recent film, Palo Alto, which happens to include a story about a coach (played by Franco) seducing a young girl. So all-in-all, this huge news story might just be a publicity stunt, because we all honestly know how Franco loves a good publicity stunt. So no matter what you think of James, get on your dancing (and drinking) shoes and come out for sets from An Honest Year, Hopscotch Jefferson, and Thee Idea Men, for a great night of music hosted by ROP’s Founder and Managing Editor Jennifer Logue.

There will be drink specials, $3 tall cans of Rolling Rock, Narragansett, and Miller High Life. For more info, check out the Facebook event and get tickets ($8 in advance, $10 at the door) here. The show is April 16th, 8 p.m., 21+, and Milkboy (11th & Chestnut) is easy to get to via SEPTA, get off between City Hall or Market East. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their “James” best, as characters from their favorite James Franco films.

Note: We had planned this party before the scandal broke out. Talk about timing.
