Monday Playlist: Made in America 2014

If there wasn’t enough awesomeness already happening in Philadelphia this summer, then Jay-Z and his Budweiser-sponsored Made In America festival just made a strong case for you to add the two-day fest to your calendar. The now bi-coastal music festival is grabbing national headlines and will be rousing things up in Philly on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, August 30-31 (Labor Day Weekend). Find the full lineup and grab tickets here.

I can honestly say it was especially hard to narrow this playlist down to ten. The 2014 lineup is perfectly eclectic, or perflectic, if you will. I’ll kick things off with one of my favorite music videos ever. We find Yeezus enlisting the help of Zach Galifianakis and Will Oldham, back when he was just Kanye. Find the playlist in Spotify after the jump.

1. Kanye West – Can’t Tell Me Nothing

2. Kings of Leon – The Bucket

3. Danny Brown – Grown Up

4. The National – Sea of Love

5. De La Soul – Me, Myself and I

6. Spoon – You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb

7. Girl Talk & Freeway – Tolerated (ft. Waka Flocka Flame)

8. Grimes – Oblivion

9. Chromeo – Jealous (I Ain’t With It)

10. Pharrell Williams – Hunter (video courtesy of Phly Crew)
