Street Eaters at Lava Zone on July 15th

The punk band Street Eaters, hailing from California, released their latest album Blood:: Muscles:: Bones via Nervous Intent Records on June 17th. In support of their record, they are ready to rock the Lava Zone on Lancaster Avenue in West Philadelphia July 15th.

Blood:: Muscles:: Bones is filled to the brim with a grungy punk sound. Megan Mink on drums and John Mink on bass, shoot out rapid tunes that will keep you moving all night.

Street Eaters’ style is very traditional punk and is something one would expect to run into on an impromptu stop to The Barbary. The title track captures the aggressiveness of punk as Megan Mink half sings, half shouts the lyrics over her drum playing.

The album is energetic and in the track “Running Dog,” the chaos brings to mind a live wire that won’t stop shooting sparks and jumping.

Checkout their trippy music video for “Reverse” off their new album below. Purchase the new album here.

Lava Zone is located at 4134 Lancaster Avenue in West Philadelphia and is accessible by SEPTA by the 10 trolley.

Good video. Reminded me of what a Manson video might look like if directed by Kenneth Anger. Characters gave me the same vibe from the dancers in the “Push it” video by Garbage. The reversal shots of stuff smoking, blowing up was cool. The distortion worked well.
