Monday Playlist: November Rain

This time of year can bring some frost on the grass in the morning, awesome colors in the form of fall foliage, and for better or worse, some rain. I got caught in the rain last week during some of the month’s first rain storms so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to make a rain-themed playlist. There’s plenty of ways to react to a rainy day. One could sleep-in, take to the movies, or head to their favorite watering hole.

By all accounts, Philadelphia has become a craft beer mecca. Surrounded by breweries and world-class beer bars, as well as preserving quintessential American dive bars. Some great resources exist online to help guide you through Philly’s ever-expanding libation revolution including, Drink Philly, Philly Tap Finder, Foobooz, Philly Beer Scene, Uwishunu Philly, and Eater Philly. So next time it rains feel free to put on your drinking shoes.

Here’s a playlist to fight off or embrace the rain.

1. Blind Melon – No Rain

2. Marah – A Melody of Rain

3. Led Zeppelin – Fool in the Rain

4. Robert Plant – Rainbow

5. The Grateful Dead – Box of Rain

6. Creedence Clearwater Revival – Have You Ever Seen The Rain

7. Dwight Yoakam – Who’ll Stop The Rain

8. The Beta Band – Dry the Rain

9. Garbage – Only Happy When It Rains

10. Neko Case – Buckets of Rain (Bob Dylan cover)

11. Adam Levine – Purple Rain (because Prince is Prince and took down every acceptable youtube video of himself singing it)

12. Guns N’ Roses – November Rain

This is such a great playlist for any kind of day. I’m especially loving all the classic rock songs!
