You Do You Wants to Funk Up Your Friday

Eclectic local outfit You Do You has been described as many things — funky, sweet, party rockin’ — and all are apt descriptions. It’s that diversity that endears the Philly group to so many listeners, whether they’re fans of front-woman Katie Feeney’s powerful vocals or favor the rhythm section’s dance-friendly groove.

Given that Feeney’s admitted to wishing she had her very own Ikettes for the band, it should come as no surprise that You Do You enjoys bringing the funk to Philly’s audiences. They’ll be doing just that this Friday, November 14, at Bourbon & Branch, for the show celebrating the release of the band’s newest EP. Along with indie hip-hop rockers The Racket Boys and  psychedelic pop-rock group The Extraordinaires, this is sure to be one funky Friday that gets everyone moving.

Take a listen to You Do You’s new EP, I Got Time, below, and pick up your own copy via the Bandcamp page (name-your-own price) or in person at the show this Friday. Tickets are available online in advance or at the door.  Doors for the dance-tastic show open at 8PM, and the feet-moving music starts at 9PM. Sorry young ones–this show is 21+.
