Best of Philly Music 2014 Playlist

With New Year’s Eve being tomorrow, it’s hard to believe that 2014 has flown by so quickly. Luckily, we’ve had some incredible music coming out of Philly to provide an eclectic, soul stirring soundtrack.

Putting together this list of songs was no easy task and is in no way a be- all and end- all selection. If you have more music recommendations for us, tell us in the comments section below! Also, you may see some songs listed that aren’t from 2014 specifically. Some artists caught our eye this year but may have slightly older recorded material.

You’ll also notice that the Best of Philly 2014 Playlist encompasses a range of Philly music from pop to rock to hip hop to singer/songwriter. There are artists included who are household names like The Roots and Dr. Dog but there are also a ton of artists you may not have heard before but need to like City Rain, Cruisr, Nico’s Gun and You Do You.

The entire list is embedded below for your listening pleasure. Be sure to follow Rock On Philly’s official Spotify channel for new playlists added weekly.
