Best Weekend Ever: Wawa Welcome America, Barenaked Ladies, Tall Ships, And More!

It’s going to be a wet, hot, (American) summer weekend. Brace yourselves!

Friday 6/26:

Tall Ships are coming to Philadelphia along Delaware River Waterfront. It will be a majestic sight to see, with different ships reaching the pier every day. Live music will be provided along with the Army Band. You can purchase tickets to board the ships and get a closer look, but you can always gaze at them for free!

Ecstatic Vision is playing at Johnny Brenda’s with Creepoid. Ecstatic Vision is releasing their debut album on the 30th, and are the talk of the town. Creepoid is also releasing an album and is on the lineup for the Made in America Festival in September.

Indie pop band Parlour Tricks will be partying at Milkboy on Friday night. The sextet is going to blow the roof away with their harmonies so grab your tickets here and check them out.

Saturday 6/27:

Saturday kicks off the week-long celebration going into 4th of July brought to you by our favorite spot, Wawa. The Wawa Welcome America will feature family friendly activities starting in The Shops at Liberty Place.

Imagine Dragons is bringing their percussive rock to the Wells Fargo Center with Halsey. Their shows are dynamic and entertaining and is a must-see! Get tickets here.

Rock legend John Fogerty is still kicking butt and heading to the Mann for a night to remember. Bring your parents and come out to see him live! Tickets are available here.

Sunday 6/28:

Barenaked Ladies, Violent Femmes, and Colin Hay are bringing back our favorite jams at the Mann Center on Sunday for their Last Summer On Earth Tour to finish off an awesome weekend. Colin Hay’s 12th solo studio album Next Year People  released in February is breezy, relaxed, and effortlessly cool.

For Phish fans, bass guitarist Mike Gordon will be performing a solo set at Union Transfer. Don’t miss this intimate performance and grab your tickets here.
