Girl Power: See All the Fun, Fabulous, Female Performers at Firefly 2015!

Let’s hear it for women in music! With music constantly changing, and new bands popping up all over the place, it is without a doubt that women are beginning to be more present in the predominantly male music scene…and Firefly Music Festival is right on the money! Let’s find out how many female artists you’ll be seeing at this year’s festival!

Marian Hill

Philadelphia local duo features female half, Samantha Gongal gives this band sweet vocals and beautiful lyrics. Together the two members are a perfect match.

Matt & Kim

Indie duo Matt & Kim features two talented young peeps. One of them being Kim Schifino who plays drums. Watch her sweet drum fills and sick beats!

Tove Lo

Swedish singer/songwriter Tove Lo topped USA charts with her hit “Habits.” She’s also co-written songs including “Love Me Like You Do” by Ellie Goulding.


New Zealand duo Broods features Georgia Nott on lead vocals, and older brother Caleb Nott on multiple instruments. Who’s ready to see this cutie pie sing at this year’s festival?

Clean Bandit

British electronic group Clean Bandit achieved their first US Billboard top 100 hit with their song, “Rather Be” in 2014. Grace Chatto kills it on the cello!


Family band, Echosmith are a group of “Cool Kids.” Sister of the group, Sydney Sierota is only 18! If you don’t catch them at Firefly, they’re coming to Philly in September!

Ryn Weaver

American pop singer Ryn Weaver was born in California and will be releasing her debut album this June, 2015.

Betty Who

Singer songwriter from Australia opened up for both Katy Perry and Kylie Minogue. Her electronic/dance sound will have you dancing for sure!

Zola Jesus

This singer songwriter and producer has released three EP’s and five full length albums which combine a plethora or sounds. She’s like a musical melting pot.

Alison Wonderland

Australian DJ released her debut album earlier this year. She originally trained to be a classical musician but has since turned her passion into being a DJ

Wolf Alice

Ellie Roswell fronts this indie/alternative band. Their debut album is set to release June 22 of this year.


Lead singer Brodie Jenkins was signed and touring before she even reached age 15. The duo mixes indie sounds with electronic influence to create a new music experience.


Her music features strong vocals, catchy beats, and a handful of different sounds. Her debut single “Strange Enough” became the number one most viral tack on Twitter!


Swedish singer and rapper Elliphant combines two sounds into one creating a unique sound. Watch this girl spit rhymes and sing you beautiful melodies.


Monica Martin fronts this Wisconsin band. Their EP released in early 2013 mixing indie and alternative sounds together.


American indie/pop singer songwriter strums her own chords and sings her own melodies.

Phoebe Ryan

Texas born and Jersey raised, Phoebe Ryan made jaws drop with her cover of R. Kelly’s “Ignition.”

The Wind and The Wave

This Texas based duo had their cover of “Chasing Cars” premiere on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Patricia Lynn met her partner at a show while she was playing with her old band.

Zella Day

After covering the popular “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes, Zella Day has been writing and performing her music for the world.

Milo Greene

Mile Greene has four singers in the band, one of which is Marlana Sheetz, a multi talents musician. The band tends to switch duties by passing around instruments and sharing vocals.


Her rhymes are fire! Enough said.

The Hunts

Seven piece family band has two females in their lineup. Playing string instruments and delivering backup vocals, the band wouldn’t be the same without them!

Prinze George

Two girls is better than one! This three piece band had two lovely female artists! Naomi Almquist sings while Isabelle De Leon drops the beats on her drum set!

Jack Novak

Electronic artist Jack Novak has shared stages with many different EDM artists including Calvin Harris and Skrillex. Get ready to dance when you see her at Firefly!


This electronic beauty is sure to have you dancing! Her dance/electronic music is filled with fun beats and exciting lyrics.


This couple met, fell in love, and broke up. Elenor Smith creates an emotional experience with her harmonies and angelic voice.
