Who needs the beach when you can escape to Festival Pier with Radio 104.5? Last Sunday’s Block Party was smokin’ with a stellar lineup of artists including Fox Trot & the Get Down, Big Data, MisterWives, New Politics, and A Silent Film. Aside from the music, this free, open air event offers fans stunning views of the Ben Franklin Bridge and Delaware River. Miss the show? We’ve got you covered with our Top 5 Moments!

5. Local favorites, Fox Trot & the Get Down, got the party started with their bluesy, gritty wonderfulness.

4. Brooklyn’s own Big Data got us all “feeling good.” Wait, no. Scratch that. Fantastic!

3. Another band by way of New York, MisterWives, kicked the energy into high gear. Mandy Lee is a musical fireworks display. We <3 her!

2. Hailing from Copenhagen, one of my all time faves, New Politics, rocked our faces off. With lead singer David Boyd doing backflips and breakdancing without missing a beat, Søren Hansen shredding it on guitar, and Louis Vecchio killing it on the drums, it’s impossible to not be obsessed!

1. Finally, A Silent Film ended the show, with a sound bearing similarities to Coldplay and Snowpatrol. Originally from Oxford, this band definitely “left a mark” with their live set.
