Best Weekend Ever: Wawa, Drag Queens, Grateful Dead and More!

There are plenty to do and see around the city this holiday weekend. Bring on the (legal) sparklers, cold beers, and American pride!

Friday 7/3:

Starting at 1pm, the Liberty Block Party will be held  between Market and Chestnut at 5th and 6th streets. It is in conjunction with the Wawa Welcome America week and will feature live music, great food, and best of all, it’s free to enter!

Festival Pier will be holding the 50th Annual LGBT Civil Rights Movement Concert, featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni Adore Delano, Mimi Imfurst, and many more!

For fans of Grateful Dead, Union Transfer will be live broadcasting their shows from across the country all weekend long. Grateful Dead puts on a different show every performance so a hardcore fan sees all their shows. You can purchase tickets for one day or a 3 day pass here.

Saturday 7/4:

Party on the Parkway! There will be family friendly activities all day and lots to do. Wrap up the day with a performance by The Roots, Miguel, and Jennifer Nettles with fireworks over the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Sunday 7/5:

From noon to 6pm, the beloved gayborhood is throwing the Annual Reminders Block Party. Go check out the newly painted rainbow crosswalks and many brands participating in the awesome event.
