TONIGHT! 1st Annual Indie Dock Fest At Dave & Busters with Sonnder, Andorra, All Boy/All Girl and More!

Recently featured here by Rock On Philly, Sonnder has been in the midst of a year-long singles project in which every month of 2015 has, thus far, seen a new release leading towards their first full length record. While it has a been quite an undertaking the opportunity to share the results of their hard work every month with fans, peers, and other supporters has been immensely rewarding for the Philadelphia band. As they have reached the halfway mark of this year long effort working with producer/engineer Robby Webb (the single “Siren Calling” was just released online this weekSonnder front man Ryan Weidman took time from he bands busy schedule to celebrate with a show he has put together tonight that showcases the diverse alt/indie scene of the greater Philadelphia area.

Bringing together a lot of bands that the members of Sonnder have become friends with over the last couple years, Weidman connected with Saul Dratman and Fred Calalang of Gravity Given Productions and Fred Experiential to help secure tonight’s venue, the Dockside Bar at Dave & Busters. Under a  “Wide Man Industries” banner Ryan has had some fun building this festival, one that those involved liked the idea of so much already that they want to do an indie rock festival every year now… And so, the first annual Indie Doc Festival has been created around wanting to create more of a real community within the local indie/alt rock scene. The bands and audience will enjoy a great view and summer atmosphere right on the Delaware River directly behind Dave & Busters. It is going to be a lot of fun. The show will be all ages and kicks off tonight, July 11th, at 6pm with singer/songwriter Keely Sibilia. The show goes to 1am and will also feature performances from Andorra, All Boy/All Girl, Toy Cities, Awaking Mercury, Uncle/Father Oscar, and of course Sonnder.

Some of tonight’s artists have the following to say in anticipation!
Luke Eccles, Awakening Mercury

We got a chance to play dockside last year and we were blown away by the response of the crowd and the venue. It’s a great location to have some drinks with friends and hangout listening to the best music Philadelphia has to offer. Make sure you are there and ready to throw down!

Nicholas Rahn, All Boy/All Girl

We’re especially excited about this show because, it’s our first time back in Philly since last Fall. We all love Philly, and it’s particularly special to Danielle, Josh and I, because we first started playing music together when we lived there as Uarts students. We’re also really excited to be finally sharing a bill with Ryan Weidman, from Sonnder, who we’ve known since our days at UArts.

Kevin McCall, Andorra
We met everyone from Sonnder at this house show in Wyndmor. We hit it off right away and realized we had a lot in common with school, music, and more. They invited us out the to Dockside festival and we’re excited to play with great friends and an awesome view.

It should be a great hang tonight at the Dock Side Bar behind Dave & Busters, hope to see you all there!
