Best Weekend Ever: Billy Joel, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Motley Crue, and More!

There is no stopping Philly from being a bustling tour stop for all genres of music. Check out all that the city has to offer to make this your best weekend so far!

Thursday 8/13:

American legend Billy Joel will be at Citizens Bank Park. Bring your moms, dads, and best friends to see him live. Get tickets here.

Friday 8/14:

Philadelphia Folk Festival kicks off on Thursday, but things keep popping on Friday, starting at 11am. Bands like No Good Sister and Shakey Graves will be performing, along with many others. There will also be a ton of workshops for aspiring musicians and the curious music lovers.

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly is performing a sold-out show at the TLA. If you’re still trying to go to the show, check for tickets here.

Basement, Adventures, LVL UP, and Palehound will be at Union Transfer. LVL UP from New York is currently supporting the release of their latest 7″ vinyl.

Mötley Crüe will be rocking out at Wells Fargo Center with Alice Cooper and The Cringe. This may be the last time they tour, so come check them out.

MilkBoy 4th Anniversary with Nik Greeley & The Operators. It’s a free show! Come hang and see the man that everyone has been talking about.

Saturday 8/15:

Hidden River Blues Festival will take place in Manayunk starting at 11am. The performances will be set up at Venice Island Outdoor Amphitheater. While you’re there, be sure to see Sugar Blue Band and Otis Taylor Band! Tickets are available here.

Country rockers of the Zac Brown Band will jam at Citizens Bank Park with The Avett Brothers. This show is going to be so much more than just country music, so get your dancing shoes on and head to the ball park!

At the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band will be hitting the Martin Guitar Main Stage at 10:05pm. The man is legendary and all folk lovers at the festival must check him out!
