The riverfront is going to be busy this weekend with exciting events. If you’re able to make the drive, there are several options for shows outside Philly as well as within the city limits. Make sure you catch a show or three while the weather cools down for a bit!

Thursday 8/6:

Mad Decent Block Party is hitting Festival Pier for two days of straight-up partying. The first day consists of Flosstradamus, ILoveMakonnen, and more!

If you’re not into the party scene, head over to Night Market on Lancaster Avenue and 35th. As usual, the streets will be flooded with food trucks, vendors, and live music including electro-pop group KillerWhale.

Friday 8/7:

Mad Decent Block Party continues early in the afternoon with Alison Wonderland, Dirty South Joe, and Zeds Dead.

While you’re down by the river, check out Free Jazz show at RiverStage of Penn’s Landing every Friday of August. What could be better? Free + JAZZ = Awesome!

Next up on the list, the Velvet Teen from California are at Boot and Saddle with Philadelphia band Belgrade. Their sounds are awesome and you should check them out if you’re not familiar. Tickets are available here.

Saturday 8/8:

Hollystock Music and Arts Festival on Main Street of Mount Holly, NJ will feature many talents from South Jersey as well as Philly. Some of our favorite performers on the lineup include Nik Greeley, SoraiaKid Felix, John Faye, and Jutaun. There will be many food and art vendors to check out while you listen to some rocking good music. Get the lineup and set times here. And, check out some of our Hollystock playlists here and here to get the mood going!

If you happen to be out in West Chester, the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium will keep main street bustling with excitement as cyclists race through town while Market Street becomes a party center with activities for all ages and live music.

Sunday 8/9:

Musikfest is back again all weekend long in Bethlehem and is hosting O.A.R. on Sunday night, as well as free shows of other acts throughout the day. If you’re out in the suburbs and looking for a good place to hang all day and night, this is it. Get more info here!
