Carroll Creates Carefree Psych-Pop on Debut Full-Length

The album’s lead track, “Alligator,” shines with sunny vibes through its beautiful vocal melody and overall tranquil feel. Their pop sound goes on some ambient, psychedelic tangents, before seamlessly looping back into their catchy, structured chorus. The guitars and synthesizer tangle to create dreamy atmospheres, while the vocals lead the mix with soothing, high-pitched refrains. Carroll creates a totally encompassing environment with their whimsical attitude, which comes through most notably in the intertwining riffs and synth lines, especially on “Bad Water” and “Boxing Day.”
