The critically-acclaimed folk artist Weyes Blood, the stage name of Natalie Mering, will be making a rather spontaneous trip to Philly on September 15th to perform at Johnny Brenda’s. The New York-based musician is promoting her upcoming EP Cardamom Times, the follow-up to her 2014 album The Innocentsone of the best reviewed folk albums of the year. While we hear that Cardamom Times strips down the psychedelic flair of The Innocents, from Mering’s first single from the EP, “Cardamom,” a flute-tastic, romantic affair, we can tell Cardamom Times will exceed our expectations.

Don’t miss out on an opportunity to hear more of the EP (which won’t be released until October) when Weyes Blood comes by tonight! You can still purchase tickets here.

Listen to her gorgeous, Elliott Smith-esque track “Cardamom” below!
