My experience listening to Scottish trio Chvrches before this month had been listening to “The Mother We Share” on the radio every now and again and wondering what kind of otherworldly, 80’s-pop-influenced magic was gracing my ears. When September came around, I started hearing “Leave A Trace”  on the radio, which is the first single off of the group’s second studio album Every Open Eye. The track created a similar kind of excitement for this band and their music. Every Open Eye, which was recently released through Glassnote Records, shows that the band has fine-tuned their skills in creating synth-pop goodness after debuting it to the world in the form of 2013’s The Bones of What You Believe
