Gorrilaz, the cartoon-virtual band that released the ever so catchy track “Feel Good Inc.,” are officially returning in 2016, co-creator and animator Jamie Hewlett on Monday. He also confirmed with NME that the group’s next album will be released in 2016. “Damon has started making some music around all his other projects. I’m working on it at the moment and 2016 is going to be Gorillaz all year,” Hewlett said.

The world hasn’t had anything new from the group since 2011’s The Fallso we can’t wait to hear what this otherworldly band has created this time around.

Excited for Gorrilaz’ next album? Let us know what you think in the comments after the jump!
