You Do You is a local Philly pop act fronted by the beautiful Katie Feeney. If you’re not yet familiar with them, their sound is a unique pop rock blend dripping with funk, R&B, and soul influences. Feeney’s voice is (deservedly) featured prominently, along with the band’s funky bass, grooving drums, and catchy hooks. Featured in our May Music Discovery and as our current video of the week, You Do You is quickly becoming an ROP fave.

Despite not being a big fan of cats myself, I cannot deny that this video seems to capture a rock band that knows how to have some fun. One would (correctly) assume that You Do You’s live shows are fun on an even higher level. Thankfully, Thursday is the night you can experience that fun for yourself.

You Do You will be accompanied on stage by People’s Champs (it’s their record release show, after all) and Rosemary Fiki. People’s Champs have an equally unique sound blending dance pop, hip hop, and R&B with alt-rock, much like an updated versions of David Bryne’s Tom Tom Club. And, Rosemary Fiki is soul rock with a big powerful voice. All three acts feature strong frontwomen that pull no punches and bands that know how to rock.

Let’s be honest, you have nothing better to do with your Thursday than get funked up by Philly’s finest. Grab your tickets now, head over to Bourbon & Branch, and you won’t be sorry.
