Scott Weiland Has Passed Away at 48

Scott Weiland, former lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, has died. The forty-eight year-old was found deceased on his tour bus on December 3rd by his personal manager, according to reports. Weiland was on tour with his band Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts.

In a statement, his management confirmed to Rock On Philly early Friday the validity of the reports. In addition, a Facebook post confirmed that Weiland passed away in his sleep.

    So sad. My favorite memory of Scott Weiland is the beauty and raw emotion in his voice. The first time I heard “Plush (Acoustic)” I almost cried.
