It’s the start of most wonderful time of the year…AWARDS SEASON! Awards Season is quickly approaching, and The 58th Grammys will be coming our way on February 15, 2016. Unlike other award shows, which are basically irrelevant to the music world, the Grammys is one of the more prestigious music award shows as the Academy members divide the potential nominees into their different fields and then has three rounds of rigorous voting. The Recording Academy’s mission statement is to positively impact the lives of musicians, industry members and our society at large. Judging from the list of nominees (below), we will have to agree!

I’m so happy that Wolf Alice is nominated! But their whole album, My Love is Cool, should be nominated for Best Rock Album. Also Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s” is not really a rock song…

Really happy for both Elle King and Florence (as I am a HUGE fan of both), but I agree I don’t know if I would qualify either “Ex’s and Oh’s” or “What Kind Of Man” as a rock song.
