Lettuce Brings the Funk to TLA

Photography by Mike Mauger

When Lettuce announced their return to Philadelphia would be held at the TLA on South Street, there was little to no doubt that the show would sell out. Yet, at the beginning of the week leading up to the show, tickets were still available. This would change when with a few days before show time, hearts of all who had slept on tickets were broken. Sell out. Lettuce fans scrambled.

Leading up to the show, tickets on the secondary market were scarce, some even going for as much as $200 a pop on sites like Stub Hub. Basically, those who were lucky enough to get tickets were not giving them up. And for good reason.

Lettuce crushed it, as usual. They’re used to melting the faces off of their funk-loving fans, but with a new album, titled Crush, there’s a new meaning to it all.

Judging by the hoard of people outside the TLA Saturday night, it seems many of you missed the show, check out our photo recap below!
