New York based producer/DJ duo The Knocks are stopping by The Foundry at The Fillmore Philadelphia this Friday on their Route 55 tour supporting their first full album 55 set to be released early this year. The duo, which is made up of Ben “B-Roc” Further and James “JPatt” Patterson, came to be in 2008 when they met at The New School in New York City and based their name off of the many knocks they would get on their apartment door from blasting their music, which is so appropriate (who doesn’t love blasting music?).

The Knocks have released a variety of tracks so far in their career, including “Classic” featuring Powers and Fetty Wap, “I Wish (My Taylor Swift) featuring Matthew Koma (which is a must listen for anyone who can relate to having a celebrity crush), and their latest single “New York City” featuring Cam’ron. Their upcoming album will be no less than epic with an anticipated lineup of artists that’ll be featured, including Walk The Moon, Carly Rae Jepsen, X Ambassadors, and Wyclef Jean.

With the eclectic blend of hip-hop, house, soul, pop, and a hint of disco, The Knocks should definitely be gracing your ears sometime soon, especially live. Tickets are available for their show here. In the meantime, check out the video for “I Wish (My Taylor Swift) below!
