Frankie Vado is celebrating the anniversary of the release of his debut album, Yesterday’s Reject. Though the album was received well in the Philly hip hop circles, Vado had trouble finding a record label to release it, and ended up going the independent route. Paving his own way is nothing new for Frankie Vado: he grew up a foster child from Kensington. He worked hard earned two degrees from Penn State started to build a music career from scratch. If you’re thinking this is a formula for good hip hop: you’re right.
