Thursday 4/21

Philly hip-hoppers Moosh and Twist are hitting the stage at Underground Arts! The guys have been on an extensive tour for the past couple of months, so it is sure to be an incredible homecoming! This edition of the Red Bull Sound Select series, curated by Jump Magazine, features talents of three cities: Philly’s Tunji Ige, NYC’s Loaf Muzik, and Boston’s Michael Christmas. RSVP for tickets here.

If death metal is more your speed, BEHEMOTH is back in town! The Polish legends are packing out the TLA with their raucous sounds that will surely leave your heart pounding and ears ringing. Grab your ear plugs and get tickets here.

Philly’s own DJ’s DAME LUZ and XXXSTIAN BEAUTY are spinning at NO SHADE at Dolphin Tavern tonight. Get grooving and down with advance tickets here.

Friday 4/22

Transit is hitting up The Foundry on Friday night on their I’m getting good at saying goodbye tour. After ten years together, the band announced that this is their final tour. The show is sold-out, but the band is also playing an earlier show at 2PM at the Barbary across the street. Get tickets here.

The third edition of the monthly NOREMIXES NORESIDENCY hits The Art Dept Philly with NOREMIXES’ Oh! Pears and Mikronesia, and Valley Exit, the new solo project of Jeff Zeigler.  NOREMIXES was founded by Philly producer and musician Starkey. The Art Dept. is a small venue, so ensure your spot at the show with advance tickets here.

If you didn’t already have much to do this weekend, WXPN’s Key Fest 2016 is happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at MilkBoy. Featuring diverse Philly talent like our March Artist of the Month HowlishKississippi, and Joie Kathos, the mini fest celebrates the best of Philly all in one place. Get your three-day pass here.

Saturday 4/23

Father John Misty (a.k.a. Joshua Tillman) is bringing his unique brand of folk to Fillmore Philadelphia this Saturday. Having had an outstanding 2015 with the release of his latest album I Love You Honeybear, the multi-instrumentalist is spreading his gospel everywhere. Most recently, Tillman chose not to cancel his upcoming (and also sold-out) North Carolina show, but is donating the proceeds to Time Out Youth, an LGBT support center based in Charlotte–definitely putting his money where his mouth is! The Philly show is sold-out, but try your hand at getting tickets here.

The rock-dance five-piece Dopapod is giving us the run-around this weekend, with not one but two shows at the TLA. If you missed Friday night’s show, never fear! Get tickets for both nights here.

Sunday 4/24:

To get over that awesome night, you should brunch. And by brunch, we mean Dining With Divas with Philly’s own drag rockstar Mimi Imfurst. What can be better than celebrating your Sunday with drag queens? Tickets are free, but get more info here.

Into It. Over It is bringing his magic to a sold-out TLA. Having recently released his highly-anticipated new album Standards back in March, Evan Weiss is continuing to bring emo back in a big way. If you can, try your luck at tickets here.

True Widow is bringing their haunting tunes to Boot & Saddle tonight. The Texas trio have a distinct guitar-driven brand of shoegaze that definitely sits well with knocking back a glass of whiskey and your favorite horror movie. Also fitting quite nicely on the bill is Philly’s own Dreambook for a bit of a reunion show! Get tickets for a sure-to-be-chilling night to end your weekend here.
