An Introduction To Kasador

This Saturday, indie rockers Kasador will be making their Philly debut with a headlining performance at The Fire. The Canadian five-piece, featuring Nick Babcock on piano/synth, Boris Baker on bass, Angus Fay on drums, Will Hunter on vocals/guitar, and Cameron Wyatt on guitar, has been out on the road all month long in support of their self titled debut EP, which was released independently this past September.

Though Kasador has only been around for about three years, they’ve been climbing up the ladder incredibly fast; they’ve shared the stage with big-name acts such as Arkells, Walk Off The Earth, and July Talk, and they had the honor of recording their first release at The Tragically Hip’s recording studio, the legendary Canadian act with whom Kasador shares their Kingston, Ontario hometown.

Since last summer, Kasador has been slinking their way down south into the States, with a few New York and Brooklyn appearances already under their belt. Kasador’s knack for writing powerful choruses, coupled with sonic characteristics like clean synths, funky guitars, and tight rhythms put them right at home with beloved contemporary acts like Phoenix, The 1975, and Capital Cities.

Joining Kasador will be two local acts, bedroom pop artist Santi Suede and emerging alt-rockers TIOGA. Tickets to the show can be purchased in advance here. Give Kasador a warm welcome to Philly by checking out their EP below!
