Thursday 6/29:

As part of Wawa’s Welcome America celebration, The National Constitution Center is admitting visitors for free from 9:30am to 8pm. After a walk through the exhibits, there’s plenty of time to head over to shows at night.

The Wooden Sky from Toronto is performing at Milkboy in Center City. The show was originally scheduled for May 10th but got moved to this Thursday. The indie folk band put out their album Swimming in Strange Waters in April. Tickets can be purchased here or at the door.


Friday 6/30:


The Philadelphia Orchestra is performing a free, patriotic concert at Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing. The show starts at 8, but get there early to get the best seats. Following the concert, there will be a spectacular round of fireworks.


Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac are coming to the Mann. They released their album named after the duo earlier this month and it charted immediately. The duo has been compiling work together since 2014 and this tour will showcase all they created. Tickets for the outdoor show can be purchased here.



Hip hop artist blackbear is performing in Philly for a sold out show at the TLA. His style is a mix of alternative rock and hip hop, and his energy will be perfect for when he’s on tour with Fall Out Boy this coming fall. Find resale tickets here. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until October 29th when he opens for FOB!


Saturday 7/1:

Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers Wells Fargo Center. Four decades in, and he’s still selling out venues across the world. He is touring across the country in celebration of 40 years of work, and finishing up at the historic Hollywood Bowl. There’s nothing like seeing an American classic rocker over 4th of July weekend. Tickets are available here, but not for long.


If you missed the fireworks on Friday night, there’s going to be a second round of fireworks along the Delaware River Waterfront. Find more information for Friday’s fireworks here.


Sunday 7/2:

Pop rock band R5 is back for their New Addictions Tour at the TLA. The band comprised of mostly family released their EP New Addictions in April, and are in the market to produce an album. Tickets for the show are available here.


Bonus: 4th of July

R&B superstar Mary J. Blige will headline this year’s Fourth of July concert on the parkway. Also included on the performer list are Boyz II Men who recently played at the Wells Fargo Center, The Philly Pops, and Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez. Stay after the free show for even more fireworks.
