South Street Spring Festival 2018: Meet the Artists Performing the 2nd St. Stage

Philly’s festival season is finally here. South Street is kicking it off May 5 by throwing a totally free, all day, all ages event that will include live music from some of Philadelphia’s best musical talent. The festival will take over South Street between Front and 8th streets. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Meet the Artists Performing at 2nd St. Stage:


Performance Time: 7:10 p.m.

This is a alternative rock band based out of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey and was officially founded in 2009. Since then, they’ve been gaining traction in the music industry and released their second full-length EP Almost Lifelike in 2016.

Dr. Beardfacé and the Spaceman

Performance Time: 6:10 p.m.

This band is influenced by a variety of genres ranging from punk to 50’s rockabilly. Even though this is a newer band, it’s members are experienced music professionals that have shared the stage with Cypress Hill, B.B. King, The Expendables and more.

Thee Idea Men

Performance Time 5:10 p.m.

This Philadelphia based band has a unique story and have been making music for over six years now.


Performance Time: 4:10

This indie-rock group was formed in October 2016 and enjoy incorporating piano and synth driven melodies. The band plans to release their upcoming EP sometime this year.

Stargazer Lily

Performance Time: 3;10 p.m.

This band starting performing together nearly seven years ago in Los Angeles. They signed a developmental deal from Arista Records and relocated to Pennsylvania to start a new project.

Tubey Frank

Performance Time: 2:10 p.m.

This band is helping to keep the psychedelia sound alive and released their Lost In The Woods EP in August of 2017.

E Joseph and the Sparrows 

Performance Time 1:10 p.m.

EJ  is an American singer/songwriter/composer that is the leader of this band and E. Joseph and The Phantom. He’s also played guitar and the keyboards in other musical collaborations.

Performance Time: 12:10 p.m.
