On Tuesday night, Oxnard California’s Brandon Paak Anderson – better known as Anderson .Paak – came to the fair city of Philadelphia to share his music with fans at the hottest new venue in Philly, Broad Street’s Metropolitan Opera House – aka The Met Philly. Currently on tour with fellow Cali rappers Earl Sweatshirt and Thundercat, Paak is playing to sell out crowds nationwide with his tour mates. Sweatshirt first hit the scene as the youngest member of Odd Future when he was banned from rapping with the group by his mother, subsequently spawning a “Free Earl” movement among the group and their fans. Thundercat is a frequent collaborator of DJ, musician, and filmmaker Flying Lotus, who is also a Grammy winner for his work on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly.

Paak headlined the show at The Met Philly on Tuesday night, May 21st, where he was met with an energetic and packed house. Rock On Philly was lucky enough to be able to send one of Philly’s finest photographers, Phobymo. Paak’s show was lit and the proof is below.
